Body Repair Industry Trailblazer (BRIT) has appointed Steve Hoe as its new Chair.

Written after a conversation with Fix Auto UK Managing Director Ian Pugh, ICDP said that insurers are increasingly competing for customers in areas other than price, and in many cases that means allowing drivers to choose where they get their car repaired.
Geach leads convoy of Driver Academy graduates
Copart has celebrated its first Driver Academy graduate.
Luke Geach from its Bristol Operation Centre has become the first colleague to complete the course, which was introduced in January in partnership with carbon neutral training provider HGVC with the goal of delivering 100 fully-trained drivers in its first year.
Semiconductor shortages stall sales
The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders has reported another mixed month for the automotive industry, with new car registrations down nine per cent in July and the light commercial vehicle market falling 20.7%.
New registrations totalled 112,162 units, making it the fifth month of consecutive decline, while the LCV market fell for the seventh month in a row to 12,243 units.
Gemini celebrates ADAS-approved apprentices
Two more Gemini apprentices have made the grade with Rotherham-based pair Sam and Joe achieving ADAS certification. They completed their training at the GQA-approved Automotive Training Solutions centre.

Salvage and green parts provider Charles Trent has announced 12 new recruits joining its state-of-the-art Poole facility. They will work in across all areas of the business.
