Anthony Heard, the founder and owner of Braintree Motor Group (BMG), will step down as Managing Director of BMG on 1 August.
Heard, who established BMG, a recently formed cooperative of bodyshops, will step aside to concentrate on the purchase of his own bodyshops, while at the same time, Chris Weeks will become the Group’s new MD joining the board.
Anthony said, “I am proud of what we have achieved so far at BMG, and I will continue to support the cooperative as an active member. However, I believe it’s time for me to step aside and focus on expanding my own businesses. I have great faith in Chris Weeks and his extensive experience in the bodyshop industry, and I believe he will take BMG to the next level of professionalism.”
Chris brings extensive experience in the bodyshop industry and is exiting Executive Director of the National Body Repair Association (NBRA).
He said, “I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to lead BMG. I am looking forward to working with the team and the Group Repairers to drive innovation and success in the industry. Together, we can continue to build on the fantastic work that Anthony and the team have achieved.”
