An ACIS study during the first half of 2024 has found that bodyshops using its Inventory Management System AIMS have reported a significant reduction in costs per sold hour.
ACIS launched the web-based system in 2022 as a successor to Ascribe. The intuitive handheld scanners record all items booked out from the bodyshop’s stockroom, accurately reporting costs by technician, department and job number.
AIMS automatically generates a new purchase order when supplies run low, meaning bodyshops never run out of stock or are overstocked.
John Matthews, ACIS’s CEO, said, “Costs for bodyshops are close to an all-time high so every step of the repair process needs vigilance to maintain profitability. For those who have installed the AIMS system, they quickly see a reduction in their costs per sold hour, directly impacting their bottom line, and if issues arise around product usage, they have multiple reports at their fingertips to quickly identify and address the cause. AIMS really has been a game-changer for many of our customers.”
