Chinese-owned car brands outsell Tesla in Europe in February

A total of 966,300 new passenger cars were registered in Europe last month, marking a decline of 3% compared to the corresponding month last year. According to JATO Dynamics data for 28 markets*, decreases in Germany, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Ireland were the main drivers of this trend. Year-to-date registrations fell by 2% to a total of 1,962,850 units. Read more

Volkswagen Group cooperates with Valeo and Mobileye to enhance driver assistance in future MQB vehicles

Volkswagen Group is working with Valeo and Mobileye to upgrade the advanced driver assistance systems up to Level 2+ (‘enhanced partially automated driving’) in its upcoming vehicle portfolio based on the MQB platform. Van insurance premiums see modest 1.6% rise amid signs of decline

Quoted van insurance premiums rose 1.6% in the year to the end of February but prices are starting to fall, according to the latest Consumer Intelligence Van Insurance Price Index¹.

The three months to the end of February saw quoted premiums drop 0.8% as competition increased and providers started to cut rates. Read more
