ARC360 conference continues to bolster agenda with key influencers

The ARC360 Conference 2025 continues to gather momentum with the addition of three more influential voices to its growing speaker line-up.

Steer Automotive Group has announced the strategic acquisition of React Accident Repair Group Ltd, which operates two established sites: The Paint & Bodyshop Hull and React Accident Repair Scunthorpe.  

Fix Auto UK has further strengthened its position with the acquisition of two new repair centres on the south coast. The business has acquired the former AD Williams sites in Southampton and Lydd from the appointed administrators. Read more

Car firms fined for withholding recycling information

Ten carmakers and two industry groups have been fined a combined total of nearly £78m for withholding information about vehicle recycling.

BMW, Ford, Jaguar Land Rover, Peugeot Citroen, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Renault, Toyota, Vauxhall, and Volkswagen, and two trade bodies were fined by the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA). Read more

Commission proposes flexibility to help manufacturers comply with 2025 CO2 emission targets for new cars and vans 

The European Commission proposed a targeted amendment to the Regulation setting CO2 emission performance standards for new cars and vans. The amendment introduces a flexibility measure with their CO2 targets between 2025 and 2027. Read more

NIO Inc. Delivered 42,094 Vehicles in Q1, Up 40.1% YoY

NIO Inc. delivered 15,039 vehicles in March 2025, representing an increase of 26.7% year-over-year. The deliveries consisted of 10,219 vehicles from its premium smart electric vehicle brand NIO, and 4,820 vehicles from the its family-oriented smart electric vehicle brand ONVO. Read more

Bold EU action required to counter US tariffs threatening automotive suppliers 

As a reaction to the US tariffs, including a 25% lever directed at imported European cars, CLEPA stresses that the measures from the Trump administration negatively affect automotive suppliers and trade relations on both sides of the Atlantic.
