Fix Auto Harlow has seen a 40% increase in productivity after securing a new 5,000 sqft site alongside its existing facility.
The new unit has been fitted out with an additional spraybooth, improving workflow to support productivity growth to more than 110 vehicles a month.
However, with a significant recruitment drive ongoing, Fix Auto Harlow hopes to increase that to beyond 150 by the end of the year.
Tony Mann, who owns the business with Stuart Berryman, said, “Continuing to expand and develop our company has always been part of our business plan. Within months of joining the network we realised the need to react and so we took over a nearby unit but, while it served a purpose, there was always a missing link, and that was the building sandwiched between our main and secondary workshops.
“An opportunity arose in March whereby we discovered the previous tenant was moving out and so we jumped at the chance. It has been an expensive exercise and one that wasn’t planned for 2023 but it has instantly revolutionised the whole operation with a greatly improved workflow.
“We now have the room and the processes in place which will enable us to further increase our team. Once that is complete, our goal is to repair up to 150 vehicle a month.”
