More than £100k has now been raised for charity during more than a decade of Plunkys All Stars football matches.
The charity games have been organised by well-known industry figure, Steve Plunkett, Lotus Cars, Global Bodyshop Programme Manager to raise valuable funds for a range of worthy charities over the years
This year’s match, taking place on 28 June at the Football Development Centre in Norwich, will mark the final Plunkys All Star match and is being held in support of Norfolk and Waveney MIND, East Anglian Air Ambulance, and the Fire Fighters Charity, after local firefighter Carl Mills took his own life in 2022.
Steve said: “It was an easy decision to do this year’s game in honour and memory of Carl, to remember him but also to thank the three charities that supported him and his family when they needed them the most.”
Steve has set a big goal this year: to raise a record amount from one match (£25,000) and beat what was raised last year.
Steve continued, “We are all keen to go out with a bang, so any donations, support and sponsorship from any individual or business will be greatly appreciated. I still have various items that can be sponsored for the big night and we are also looking for auction and raffle prizes, too.”
Amongst the sponsors to date is ARC360 Corporate Partner Nationwide Vehicle Assistance which is pitch sponsor for 2024.
